荒川選手金メダル２

トリノオリンピックフィギュアスケートのエキシビションを見てしまいました。いつから始まるのかもわからなかったので、徹夜しますた

。

でも見てよかったです。選手の演技はのびのびとし、すばらしい演技ばかりでした。村主選手の独創的な世界も良かったですし、荒川選手の晴れやかな表情もすばらしかった。

そしてなんといっても荒川選手の使った曲に感動

。You raise me upという曲でもともとはシークレット・ガーデン(Secret Garden)というグループが作り、その後ジョシュ・グローバン(Josh Groban)という歌手によって人気の出た曲です。

私がこのYou raise me upの存在を知ったのは4年ほど前。シークレット・ガーデンが演奏するその曲をテレビで見たのがきっかけでした。ちょうどその頃結婚する直前で、新居に一足先に転居し、準備をしているときでした。歌詞にあまりに感動し、（真夜中だったけど）そのまま着替えてCDを購入しに行ったほどでした。

荒川選手の演技が始まり、最初の数小節でYou raise me upであることに気付き、本当にうれしかった。

ちなみにこの曲が入っているonece in a red moon（日本国内盤は「レッドムーン」）にはYou raise me upのほかに、安物サスペンス風の曲も入っています。

はじめまして。
私もTV（NHKでは？）にてシークレットガーデンのファンになり、このアルバムを聞いて、さらにジョッシュグルーバンのファンになりました。本と名曲ですよね。

そう。たしかNHKだったと思います。引っ越したのが4月ですから、やはりその頃の番組でしょう。前半を歌う男性の声がすばらしくきれいなのですが、顔が.... という記憶があります。目をつむって聞くのがよろしいかと...

英語はまぁまぁできるつもりですが、歌に関してはほとんど聞き取れないことが多いにもかかわらず、この曲だけは最初から、そして素直に自分の中に入ってきました。詩を何度読み返しても名曲だと思います。
